Final Reflection

The Healthcare Quality Management course has been a fantastic experience, despite being challenging at times. This course gave me a new perspective on operations as a practice manager. This course taught us that gathering and interpreting data is critical for making organizational choices. Information systems and system thinking have aided my development. Furthermore, the discussion about benchmarking helped me realize how critical it is to establish control boundaries and quality care standards because it affects both the patient and the health facility. Nevertheless, in my opinion, this course is critical for improving the quality and performance of a healthcare facility. The purpose of quality is to meet your valued clients’ needs, desires, and expectations (Ajmal et al.,2016). Because the overall goal of a TQM approach is to improve customer satisfaction, including customers and stakeholders, I will use what I have learned in this course to provide safe and high-quality health care by reducing errors, inconsistencies, and patient safety incidents under management policy.

This course was enjoyable for me since we could visualize and use sources to identify outcomes and possibilities based on specific data and the many different strategies, I can use to decide outcomes, such as graphical charts and statistical data. According to Slyngstad (2021), control charts aid in the improvement of healthcare quality by allowing for the monitoring and recording of deviations and changes in healthcare systems.

Over the previous eight weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed studying this course. I hope it will help me with my studies while I pursue my course. My experiences and learning will be invaluable as I work toward a long-term career in healthcare administration. Finally, I have discovered that combining quality management with a democratic leadership style may propel practice management to new heights.
